Amy and I met in 2006 and she soon left her 9-5 and came to work with me. At the time I was running an outdoor coaching business in the UAE hills and organizing adventure laced coaching retreats for Dubai executives. She soon took over the marketing of the business and you are so right about clearly defined roles. We had ours very clearly mapped, with great names for each. Office B--- and Coaching monkey. And yes taking time away from the home-office is important, it helps you to keep your sanity and also the couple to stay together. It is also good to talk of other stuff than work when you are in out of the home-office business. Its not easy to manage two relationships, husband/wife and business partners.
